Wow! Wonderful analysis. I'm in Promotional Strategy for a minor in Marketing and I got tired of the excuses my professor (and class) was making for racist unethical marketing. The excuse that marketing simply reflects the culture is a tired one that always insulted my intelligence. Fortunately, my major isn't in marketing and I have plans to work in this selfish evil industry.
