The Suppression of Democratic Enterprise

My next book is going to be about the long, hidden history of overclass suppression of democracy and public enterprise.

More on that later…

Meanwhile, on this Election Day, seeing photos like the one above (it’s a voting line in Greenwich Village today), you have to ponder why we lack such basic things as these:

-automatic, universal, non-party-tied, and free (no stamps required) voter registration

-Election Day as a Federal Holiday

-polling stations that stay open for 24 hours on Election Day

-lavish funding and public oversight of polling procedures, to reduce lines and the risk of fraud and error

-paper ballots for all

I won’t even mention rancid, out-dated, anti-democratic shit like the Electoral College and the U.S. Senate.

Oops, I mentioned it…
